Black Dog Porter ( All Grian )
Had this keg at a family reunion, and most people liked it... The ones that did not like
malt drinks like Budweiser/Miller/Coors :(
Ingredents
- 8 lbs, Munton & Fison 2-row pale malt
- 1 ½ lbs, crystal malt
- ¼ lb, chocolate malt
- ¼ lb, black patent malt
- ½ lb, flaked barley
- 1 oz, Perle Leaf hops (boil)
- ½ oz, Kent Goldings hops (boil)
- ½ oz, Kent Goldings hops (finish)
- White Labs Liquid Irish Ale Yeast
Instructions
- Simple Infusion ( one step ) Mash all grains
- Sparge to make 6 gallons of wort
- Boil for 15 mins, then add 1 ½ ozs of hops in a hop bag ( boiling )
- Boil for 40 mins, then add ½ oz of hops in a hop bag ( finishing )
- Boil for 5 mins and turn off heat
- Add the wort to the primary
- Cool to 70 degs, and pitch yeast
- Rack to secondary after 7 days
